Mercat de Mercats is a four-day open air event held in a more than 8,000sqm site in the centre of Barcelona. Originally created in 2010 as a one-off event grup gsr put together for Institut de Mercats de Barcelona, the festival was such a success that the city council decided to make it yearly. It is designed to showcase Barcelona’s markets in a festive environment where stallholders, quality produce and proximity are key. Mercat de Mercats is a food and wine festival with cooking activities and free product tasting for the public. It has more than 235,000 visitors and grup gsr is responsible for everything to do with its production and communication.
